61.º CTVI Curralada: more than a workcamp, a socio-cultural experience in the wonderful interior of Trás-os-Montes

61.º CTVI Curralada: more than a workcamp, a socio-cultural experience in the wonderful interior of Trás-os-Montes
The international voluntary work camps (CTVI) organized by Palombar - Nature Conservation and Rural Heritage always combine the restoration and conservation of traditional rural buildings, and the learning of traditional construction techniques, to the discovery of the territory and its natural, architectural, cultural and social heritage, as well as community life and intergenerational interaction. The 61st International Volunteer Workcamp (CTVI) - Curralada, which took place in the village of Uva, in Vimioso, Bragança district, between July 13 and 29, 2022, was no different. Show us who participated in it.

More than just carrying out restoration work on Curralada, an iconic building in the Trás-os-Montes region, this was a sociocultural experience of discovery of the wonderful interior of Trás-os-Montes. Because this territory and its legacy are also for the young, for those who pass by, for those who stay, and, above all, for those who value it and put their hands to work to preserve it.
