Project that is saving the Montagu's harrier from extinction begins this Friday the release of 27 chicks rescued in the North
The opening of the acclimatization structure and the beginning of the gradual release of the 27 young of the Montagu's harrier rescued in the Northeast of Trás-os-Montes regin since May marks the start of the Cereal Fields with Biodiversity: Save the Montagu's harrier Journey, which takes place this Friday in Miranda do Douro.

The project Cereal Fields with Biodiversity: Save the Montagu's harrier is developed by Palombar - Nature and Rural Heritage Conservation, Association of Cereals, Oilseeds and Protein Crops Producers (ANPOC), Research Centre in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources (CIBIO/BIOPOLIS) of the University of Porto and the Continente Producers Club (CPC) and is funded by these last three entities. It also counts on the collaboration of several other institutions and organizations in its various actions.

The Journey taking place this Friday in Miranda do Douro, organized by Palombar, aims to make an assessment of the various actions that have been part of this project since February 2022, as well as to present preliminary results.
